General: This is not leading anywhere. Our men are dying in the trenches, while we could end this quickly and without any losses. Give me that bomb that our scientists have been talking about for quite a while now!

Sultan Lanzelot: No, impossible. Latest experiments of our scientists indicate that this weapon has horrible consequences for the innocent civilians living there, as well as for the environment in general. Persia is no longer a threat that would justify using this horribly device from hell. Over short or long, they will surrender all by themselves.
In addition I'm pretty sure that the other peaceful nations will not like it very much, if they see us turning into un-civilized monsters ourself. Therefore I will not sign the order for the employment of this weapon, unless the free world is in grave danger! You just deal with the situation at Entremont the way we have always conducted warfare. What did you study military strategy for?
(General salutes and retreats)

Peace negotiations started with the people of the Mayans. The Ottomans do not want to fight this peaceful nation. Only if you force us to.

I've had many similar conversations with my generals, Lanzelot, and also the commanders of the nuclear subs off the coast of the Mayaland. They remain on standby.

Hey, Cyc, what's up?

I don't know, either. Not sure why my CDG1 saves aren't getting played.

But I will play it tonight after work.

My deepest apologies, gentlemen. I have no excuse. The save has been played and passed onto Hawklord.

Entremont is finally in our hands!

After 1780 years, Ottoman soldiers finally hiss the Ottoman Flag on the Palace of the King who caused so much suffering for their people :goodjob:

Peace negotiations with the Mayans come to a successful conclusion. The world finally comes to rest again.
(And now it's time to take my seat in the Sumerian-Chinese "ship" they have been talking about for some time now. I wonder what that's going to be. They said I would be in for a real surprise, but what can be so extra-ordinary about a "ship"?! Anyway, a bit relaxing after this exhausting warfare should be good. Hope that funny ship doesn't sail too far away from home...)

As the sweat from Ottoman brow reaches reaches the parched lip they realize the sweet taste of revenge. The war is over.

:salute: The Mayans salute the Celts and the Persians. What were once great civilizations are now but dust on the road to Alpha Centauri. :hatsoff:

At least I can say that I brought action into a sleepy game, that was decided at some desk in an Ottoman Embassy.

Thanks guys for playing! :salute:

You certainly did! Thanks for the game. :goodjob:

Not just once, but two or three times. The first assault, the nation changing with the Persians, and the last assault. Except for some war weariness, the Mayans did not get to participate much, but had a great game, none the less. And this is not bad for a Palace, if I do say so myself. =8^)
