Since many people seems to have problems upgrading their old multiplayer saves to 1.61 due to not knowing admin password (usually due to setting no cheat flag, or simply forgetting the password), I decided to put together this command line tool..
The tool will strip all problematic save file protection from 1.52 and below (including cleartext player passwords in 1.00 saves).
The resulting save can only be opened in 1.61.
Hopefully people wont use this to cheat in games that are still running in older versions..
To use.. extract this program to a folder of your choice.. place the save you want to unprotect in same dir.
Open a command line prompt (Start -> Run : cmd <enter> )
cd \dir_where_you_put_files\
strip_protection protected_save.Civ4SavedGame unprotected_save.Civ4SavedGame
unprotected_save.Civ4SavedGame will now be the unprotected version of the protected save (empty admin password)
