What if Civilization was created by...

Marxists: Shortly after a civilization discovers Industrialization, it splits into two factions, the Bourgeoisie and the Proletariat, that vie for control of the civilization, turning it into either a Capitalist or Socialist state. Food, production and commerce are equally distributed throughout all Socialist cities, while in Capitalist cities resources accumulate in the upper class but lead to chronic unhappiness everywhere else. When all Capitalist civs are defeated, the remaining Socialist civs merge into a superstate, which gains access to the technology "Communism". The game ends with the abolition of politics.

Meatloaf: You can do anything to win, but you can't do that.

GCQ: The games are glitchy but have an excellent premise. Each game is progressively better than the next, but by Civ VI, the company splits and leaves fans disappointed just as things are getting good.

Me: The soundtrack consists of entirely Mahler, Sibelius, Dvorak, and Shostakovich, except for the Modern age, which is King Crimson. Deal with it.

Doritos: Each game, while having many different details, sticks to the basics and is quite bad, but somehow addicting. Every once in a while the company introduces slight price increases and appeals to the community to choose a name for the new DLC, which is released as a separate game.

Ikea: you'd have to put it together yourself from bits of code they provide, and some instructions which, while technically accurate, are a pain in the posterioric areas to decipher. Quality of product varies. However, it is not overly expensive.

Paradox Interactive: The game would be WAY longer and more detailed.(At least according to the game designers as most everyone would quit after the first 200 or so years.

Also, an interesting webcomic would spawn an AAR concerning a tiny nation in Germany.

Imperium Offtopicum. The Poland Civilization's special ability is to research space techology early. SOI can be declared globally. Egypt is cursed to doom for players.

Also, Greece and China are not available for property development.

And the game inevitably becomes a world war between two mega-alliances.

Paradox Interactive: won't do it as it already has from EU:R for classical, CW up until the 15th century, EU for up until the 19th century, Victoria until WW1, HoI until part way through cold war, Supreme Ruler Cold War until you win, Supreme Ruler 2010 until you win, and SR 2020 until you win. They have already covered all parts of history you can create a game for that's fun. Ad if you have CW2, EU3, Vic 2, and HoI 2, you can play the same save for almost 2000 years of history.

games workshop: you play as the imperium of Man, Orks, Necrons, Chaos, Tau, Nids, Eldar, Dark Eldar, or any of the subfactions. Their is only war.

Shaft: start playing expecting it to be your everyday stragetgy game...only for it to be far from your average game. Mind screws, acid deminsions, and people seriously wondering whether the developers were on crack occur every 10 minutes. Gets 10/10 reviews. Considered a wonderful game.

gainax:...do I even have to say. These are the guys who made NGE.

CLAMP: do I have to say as well. If you know what this group is, you already know.

Relic Entertainment: Like the Games Workshop version, but Space Marines are replaces by SPEHSS MEHREENS, and they get most of the Great Generals.

Emiya Clan(a group on fanfiction.net...if you want to see their work, bring your own brain bleach. Also, they assume sanity is something you eat):...a extremely crazy universe, in which is impossible to describe.

Fanfiction: The UI is indecipherable, and you can only win by wooing another civilization.
