I don't see how they ruin the terrain graphics. Haven't the units, since CivIII, been "cartoonishly" big? If they made the sizes realistic, you wouldn't even be able to see the units. What would be the fun of seeing invisible units with different names? What would be the use of adding texture and animation to the units if their size was realistic?
@Linoran-If people didn't like the size of the units, wouldn't modders have modded the Civ4 units to a realistic size long ago?
Also, about the worker units, I thought it was confirmed that workers were not going to be in Civ5.
i just want them small so it looks like your actually watching a battle taking place instead of two groups of giants fighting each other
a single soldier should be as tall as of one of the buildings in the city and they can have giant flags so you know what the unit is. There is no reason a single unit should take up an entire octagon
cant you see two marine units firing at each other with tracer rounds and bullet effect flying around that would be awesome
hmm. seems that borders need some more work, too. (looks very odd that parts of the beaches are not covered by the eastern city's border, same for riverborders), cosmetic problem, which probably will be adressed, though.
Need better rivers, too. They look far too straight, more like canals.. not to mention the odd fountains.
Yeah thats right, that fountain is strange and the rivers look like human made 'em.
Why dont u like big units? I agree with charle88, big units are good.
