However, I noticed that when a city flips a specialty district is destroyed. In many cases it may be better to conquer unless you want to remain "friendly" to your neighbor.
That was what I tried first. I just did a re-re-install (deleting all remnant files) and it looks like it is working now. Thank you for taking the time replay.
I apologize if this is a known issue. My searches did not readily find a match.
After the Fall update (currently running 1.0.0.194), I am unable to create a custom game because all of the menu options are missing. This weekend (11/25/17) is the first time I am playing since the update. The...
1.0.0.167 + Community Quick User Interface - CQUI (Sparrow fix) + Detailed Worlds MOD v1.2
When running the above and using a default map script or one from Detailed Worlds MOD, no water resources are placed. If the Detailed Worlds MOD is deactivated the water resources are placed normally...
Perhaps it is my district mix but food and production are rarely equals. Hence my usage to get cities going. Typically, depending on era, new cities will gain some level of bonus from regional production. There is no such effect for food.
With that said I do divert "extra" trade to low...
I too enjoyed the C2C mod. The cultures of the world were very much a result of the places the developed in. Would England's "navel culture" have ever been realized on a pangea map? I like the concept.
I have only experimented with harvesting in my boarders and in neutral territory (i.e. not city-states, nor friendly/enemy territory). I was only able to harvest unimproved resoures within my boarder. When I noticed I could not hardvest improved tiles (including pillaged improvments), I...
Early experimentation is not too good. The results fall into two categories: Failed and Irrelevant. I think because I was attempting to employ this strategy I was over zealous and expanded too quickly sacrificing core city development. Alternatively, once my core cities where established I...
Adjacency is nice but not the primary purpose of the district. Keep in mind there is +2 from the district itself, the values from the buildings (+2, +2, & +4), as well as the great works should you collect them.
With that said, I too do not build many of them prioritizing holy sites...
WIthout Devine Spark I encoutered this issue.
I think your selection will be dictated by the situation. In some cases it will be obvious, three stones just beg for Stone Circles. In many cases you are just struggling to determine what "might" be helpful.
Side note: Russia + Dance of the...
Just move them carefully (i.e. hex at a time). With the extra movement they are good but it you accidently move next to a barb you're lost. In a more "civilized" game, I sent out unescorted missionaries and apostles to "convert the civilized world" on to learn that barbs were harassing the...
In a quick read on the Civlopedia, the harvesting yield is +25 for food/production of bonus resources. I loaded my current game (Rome, Standard Speed) to check some of the numbers. I am showing 83 food for cattle & wheat and 83 production for stone. Ironically, in progressed to the next era...
I rarely lose a scout to barbarians. Unless you are unlucky enough to stumble upon horse barbarians you can likely safely withdrawal. Additionally, even with the fog of way you will know where the encampments are. Do you automate your scouts? Like Sogno di Volare, I typically move one hex at...
Firstly I would way water access is most important for your "early" cities but after that, I must concur with Chazzy, the regional effects of factories and other 6-away effects are VERY powerful. What do you actually need all that space for? With greater overlaps then you have the opportunity...
