When I am trying to get quick money I sell stuff. Usually I find that the capital doesn't need city walls and after certain wonders temples are useless. Get rid of useless units by disbanding them in a city to allow you to build a barracks. Afterwards I would sell the barracks. I love using...

copernicus' observatory. It doesn't double the science output of that one city all the time and sometimes I think it isn't worth bothering building it when I can just take resources away to allow for a scientist who has the same effect.

ok I've just played it again and movement is still wierd, not always triple but still not normal. Another thing that came up was wave out error, and it said that the driver couldn't be found. Thankyou for your patience.

ok I meant I haven't added any patches to it. I don't think I spelt anything wrong, did I? It is: Civilization II Multiplayer Gold Edition and I am playing it single player. Also, I have checked the rules in notepad and movement is as it should be.

it never did this on my other pc with xp. Nope, it applies to any land square, even forest. Horsemen move six on normal grassland. :s I have civ 2 multiplayer, no patches or anything and I am running on windows 95 compatability mode, otherwise I just get a blank screen.

Movement seems to have tripled! I installed civ 2 on my new laptop. It has windows vista. I don't know if I need to be more specific about my laptop but If you know why this has happened and/or how to fix it could you let me know please? Thanks.
