    Barbarians dialed up to 11?

Also is very broken on Epic & Marathon speeds. They spam cavalry units, while we struggle to build a warrior or slinger in 7-9 turns. Same applies to AI Civs. Which makes Epic & Marathon speeds, unplayable.

    Delegation?

Depends who does it. Roosevelt is safe. Anyone else and especially Russia, Norway, India, Egypt and Aztecs a big no no. And when you encounter them, start making armies. They will declare war on you quickly even if you are in an island, and they are half way the other side of the map.

When Montezuma sends a declaration of friendship...

Actually in CIV 6, you can face your own CIV played by the AI. Happened to me many times. And to add to this thread. Is not only Monty, but Peter (Russia) and the Vikings also. The moment they meet you, three turns later declaring war, and armies are on the way. Even if you are in an island...

    Full Price Beta

Anyone arguing that this had better release than CIV V or BE. Please set a huge map. On Immortal, in continents and Marathon or Epic speed. Let me know if you do not get battered by turn 25, consistently :) The slow game speed affects only the Player not the AI. Hence before you get your second...

I think there is something wrong with diplomacy

I agree. Also it looks like Epic & Marathon speed affects only the player not the AI. I decided to play a continent game with Rome and placed it well dead centre. Hadn't moved 4 tiles from the city and had met 4 civs and 2 states. Thats on HUGE map, in Epic. Turn 12 Russia declared war on me...

Most annoying UAs to deal with

I don't believe Austria can DM other civs, but who knows? Maybe some mechanic allows to do so if no CS is in game? Either way, forms really strong alliances and very early on.

Most annoying UAs to deal with

Austria is annoying even if there is game set without CSes. On immortal and deity, pulls the the same 'tactics' on other Civs like they are CS. Always turning them against the player, and while is rushing for cultural victory, you fight a world war against every Civ in game, without ability to...

    Religion of wiped out civs

hobbsyoyo I followed your idea. The moment I move the prophet out of the holy city, I get 1 follower after ~15 turns. If I keep the Prophet nearby (2 hexes) nothing happens at the same time period. Please note I use marathon setting.

    Religion of wiped out civs

Are you sure you can use Inquisitor against a foreign city? I know you can use prophet and wipe out the religion. As for my previous post above, when the Egyptians got wiped, their religion was gone. A prophet sent and converted the cities I hold. Since then nothing. And kicked both Japan &...

    Religion of wiped out civs

The sad think is you can't control the religion is you have the foreign holy city but haven't wiped out the empire. I had the same issue as above. I wiped 5 empires with Romans, and all religions were gone. But I had no religion of my own. So at the end I had no religion anywhere. Now on my...

    Running the game in 3D?

Civ 5 works like a dream on 3d vision. I have it on all time, and looks pretty cool. Mountains, water, units look absolutely awesome. If you want to activate 3D on CIV5, you need to activate it on your graphic card settings, if you have the correct package. For Nvidia, you need a compatible...

What to do with an extinct religion?

I currently on a game, small map, that didn't manage to get a religion. So left both Hinduism and Buddhism spread, from Kamehameha and Russia, to my empire. However these two declared war on me, and after a very tough to win war, I won taking both their capitals and holly cities. The problem...

    Why AI cheats that much?

Yes but we are talking here about Maya & Siam. With no ruins setting. One thing I found while I played the game without G&K, turn off the ruins or AI will find tech at every single one of them.

    Why AI cheats that much?

True. I experience that with enemy cavalry units all time. They move, stack with another unit on same tile, attack and they move 1 tile back.

    Why AI cheats that much?

There are no city states in game (i turn them off, but I add an extra 3 civs). Iron could be OK, but early religion isn't. At marathon you need around 100 turns for pantheon minimum. Get shrine as tech + build it. The you need around 60-80 faith points. To get the prophet for the religion...
