    This is rubbish. I went through this with 1.52 and had it all working with sd4hide and sd4hide does not help at all with 1.61 I don't think those morons at take 2 know what they are doing. Even microsoft could have created a fix by now.

    You have a 64bit processor. Maybe this game doesn't do that well in a 64bit operating system.

    And let's not forget games like neverwinter nights and the unreal tournament series that run fine on my GF4 MX4000 128MB patch 1.52 fixes a glearingly stupid bit of design that had non visible units in memory.

    It's great so far although I'm only in the first age. I have the patch but I get a missing entry error when I went to retire this morning (yes I wanted to see the world) Attached I hope Also I love the surround for the minimap. Retro amiga and arcade feel :scan:

    I ran out of time and got a victory condition I didn't want. Just like the one I'm playing where I forgot to disable cultural and I have 89,000 culture points and growing rapidly.

    I have to admit to exploiting that some times. Start a war with someone on the other end of the map, wait a number of turns and screw them on a peace treaty. It's a good way to get an easy beach head by getting a city in the terms :)

    I saved my leader and three techs later I rushed ToE. The other civs are just savages compared now.

    Ah, by getting one I mean a leader. The reason I use the term "real chance" is because I get military leaders far more often than I'm offically supposed to. This is my first scientific leader. * My new 3D card took me away from civ for a while *
