    Late game siege rework discussion

Yeah, this one I suspect is a lot harder to fix. Some games I reach information era by 1960's, some games I am stuck at modern by the same date.

    Late game siege rework discussion

I don't think there is something necessarily wrong with the current gameplay but I do think it can be improved by smoothing out the power curve of siege units. Mounted units follow that pattern, skipping two eras: Horseman - Late Ancient Knight - Early Medieval Lancer - Late Renaissance...

    Late game siege rework discussion

The French 155 mm is a great suggestion, thanks! Yes, the current artillery model does fit better into the atomic era. I'm still unsure to use the name howitzer because it has been used from early modern to present day to describe different types of artillery more often associated with long...

    Quick Questions / Quick Answers

4.2.5 has been declared as stable by the dev team. However many mods have not been updated for 4.X so I have yet to try it. I have just updated my modlist post for VP 3.10.14 if you are interested.

(6-NS) QoL - Enable Faith Purchase Notifications

Another issue is autopurchase only applying to the capital because sometimes I want to make use of faith conversions to yields (like Gurukalam and Tithe) in other cities as the yields in the capital can be suboptimal later in the game (border growth, hammers).

    Changing the Civ V Music

Hmm I will try it out, but last I checked it was incompatible with VP. Does it add new songs or replace the existing ones?

    Changing the Civ V Music

It is a shame that we cannot add new songs to the game.

    Late game siege rework discussion

PD's Change the Field Gun Unit's Art proposal got me thinking about how the current field gun spans over the industrial and the modern era breaking the tech tree sequence as well as having us playing with either early howitzers or fighting WWI with napoleonic field guns. First, let's take a...

(6-08) Change The Field Gun Unit's Art

While I do visually like the proposed model, I am still unsure it would entirely fit the game's timeframe, which ranges from early industrial (rifiling ~1750) to late modern era (ballistics ~1930). The proposed model is an early field gun used in the napoleonic wars (1808) and did not have a...

    (6-36a) KISS Espionage System

Yeah, this system can easily be understood and further tweaked based on play test feedback. Regarding empire size modifiers, you can find them in VP/Balance Changes/World Sizes; science and culture scale 5% for each owned city (non-puppet) for all map sizes. We could take the same value for...

Recon Pay Terrain Cost -- All-you-can-move Buffet edition

About Frogman, it does makes sense now; so this promo is really essential as soon as it is available. This can give the commando a few turns of glory while its power spike lasts. Regarding ZoC, I think the best solution - for the AI and to have a fair start for all players - now that recon...

Recon Pay Terrain Cost -- All-you-can-move Buffet edition

I have played a couple of games with this mod and I am really enjoying it. It makes rivers and (to a lesser degree) the other terrain features more like the natural barriers they should be. I also love how this makes both the experience and the upgrade ruins much less OP (because scouts have +1...

(6-NS) QoL - Enable Faith Purchase Notifications

Problem: Especially in the late game, one can go several turns without realizing that enough faith had accumulated to buy a Great Person. But this can happen early on too, one can forget to buy a Teocalli or an inquisitor. I find this particularly frustrating because I used to play with the mod...

The "KISS" Espionage System - Draft 1.1

I would love to see this proposal in the Congress. Here are some thoughts: - the wide security problem. Right now if a wide civ gets a lot of security buildings they actually get a very high security value. That needs a look. I think it should be the other way around, having many cities and...
