we most likely already have some thread/post explaining how to release a mod on Steam. can I set up some scripts, say in Jenkins? do I need to use Workshop Uploader in Civ6 SDK ? etc.
can someone please share a link to this info? I want to document the release process in a mod's git repo.
please take a look at my message that has "things that are still missing as far as quality of life goes -" in it. I listed some of the missing parts in CQUI and possible supplemental plugins that I tested to work well with the CQUI from "expansion2" branch.
I tried this combination -
CQUI from "expansion2" branch, as suggested in previous messages
Better report screen (I do not recall if CQUI had those city-unit-etc reports before, but I definitely do not see them now. maybe this part is broken, or it was never there. anyway, Better report screen...
Tried the following combination of mods for about a 100 turns today, starting in Industrial era, then also started in ancient era and played for ~30 turns.
all mods installed from Steam workshop, no hacking / manually editing files / etc.
this combination looks good so far:
Concise UI...
I configured this mods list, also added:
* Better Trade screen (to get routes sorting)
confirming - no issues with this mods combination (using latest versions on April 27, 2020).
some things that feel not ideal to me (after having used CQUI and Concise UI in the past when they still worked)...
thank you for the info, I will try this combination if it works for you.
I would be very interested to know how you chose this setup over other mods (CQUI, concise, etc), if you have a minute to explain. thanks a lot!
hey, Civ fanatics!
I am a big fan of Civ game, but playing it without a few basic mods hurts my wrists. thousands of extra mouse clicks, lack of hotkeys for many frequent actions, etc.
I was happy to have discovered CQUI mod several years ago, but alas it seems to be in a broken state more...
thanks a lot, will try this mod.
do you also happen to know if higher resolution would give more visible tiles on the playing field by any chance? I mean I could lower resolution on my computer and compare, but... this won't be a good test because there is a big chance that number of tiles...
hey, civ fanatics! whenever I play Civ 6, I often find myself wanting to zoom out more to be able to see a bigger area. the main reason is that every time the game moves to another unit/city/activity, the screen scrolls/jerks. over hours and hours of game play this adds a a lot to eye strain. I...
btw, I found another issue with Concise UI and a disabled (!) plugin - Production Queue. I could not place districts or wonders with Concise UI. I found that unsubscribing from Production Queue plugin (which was *disabled* in the game already!) solved this issue.
just a reminder that even...
oh, I found the page where I saw someone mentioning that Concise UI is no longer maintained - https://www.reddit.com/r/civ/comments/d6n35w/concise_ui_replacement_modlist/
the problem is 100% reproducible with the following plugins setup:
enabled:
Better Report Screen
Better Trade Screen
Better Unit List
Community Quick User Interface
Environmental Skin: Sid Meier's Civilization
Extended Diplomacy Ribbon
Policy Change Reminder
Research Stop Reminder

Hi Laurana! I apologize for not making my original message more clear. I actually tried editing it almost right after I submitted it, but the web page said the message was blocked because it was spam-like. maybe this is what you get when attempting to edit the post right after creating it...
first of all, I want to say that Civ 6 is a great game with a lot of potential if UX was improved.
alas, the base game UI is pretty painful, so installing UI mods is pretty much a requirement if you are spending hundreds and hundreds of hours in the game.
unfortunately, these mods get broken...
