I play on Noble, Marathon speed, and have never the barbarian event happen to me. However, the AI seems to take brunt of these events. In a recent game I played, large map with 10 civs, including myself, 4 of the AI civs were wiped out by 2400 BC.

Just joined up. Been playing Civ since Civ 3 and was looking for a good information forum for everything Civ related. I'm glad to join up to a great forum.
