Hello fellow Civ fans. I've been a member here for quite some time but not an active one. I figured it is time to step up and say hello. This is a great site to go along with a great game.

I just bought BTS a few weeks ago and won my 2nd game on noble level. Just went up a difficulty level and am doing quite well. That is until I got the "waiting for other civs" bug.

Oh well, that is for the other thread.

Hi all fans
I am an old Geeser (70 year) that have played Civ sinse the first one. I am very impressed with the different mods. Big Thanks to you for making the play stay alive. Are now using latest ViSa with Warlords. Works fine except for tall building always shows up twice. Are looking forwards to WoC with BtS. The Bts patch are in my wishlist.

Hi all. I've just joined as a member and, as suggested on the site, am placing my first post just to say hello. Having played a bit of Age of Empires, I have now purchased Civilization Chronicles to get in on this act and see how it compares. I've yet to install it on my PC, and truth be told have never even seen a game of Civilization before, but from what I've read and researched I think I'm going to enjoy it! Looking forward to what this site has to offer too!!

Hi all, I neglected to post here half a year ago, and am just now getting around to it. I've been playing CivIII for more than four years and bought CivIV soon after it came out. Perhaps it goes without saying I find this to be an awesome site.

Luffchylde, you can get to the downloads by clicking the text "Downloads" near the top of the page. It's right below "CIVILIZATION IV" in the forum directory, and in the band of text links it is to the right of "My Account" and the left of "Gallery." Use the Find tool and search for "Downloads" or "My Accounts" on any CFC Forum page and you'll find the link if I've been too ambiguous. Then choose which section you want a download from, and you'll be looking at a small fraction of the possible downloads.

You can also check out the Creation and Customization forums to see what is new and/or popular there.

Just posting to say howdy. Been a Civ player since Civ I. Found this forum after picking up Civ IV. I've enjoyed reading through some of the SG games (and learned a few things). Usually play Prince difficulty in BtS.

Hello all,
Long time Civilizations player, short time board lurker. Just wanted to thank everyone for the great tips I've picked up on the forum. I've been able to play (and occasionally even win) on higher difficulty levels than I've ever tried in any Civ game.

I don't know who might help with this. I downloaded the Visa_v3.25 mod pack, but when I try to open it I get the message "broken file" then another message "7-zip error". Anyone else having this problem?

Hi all,

I've been playing Civ for years but had a bit of a gap after being disappointed with version 3. Finally got round to picking up Civ 4 + Warlords for my Mac and am very pleased with what I've played so far! Forgotten the potency of the addiction

Just signed up to investigate the Mac mods and learn some strategy and game mechanics stuff on the forums, so hullo everyone!

I've been civ'er (although I dare not to call me yet a "civfanatic" as you are) for at least 8 years, since Civ II, through Civ III, and now I play Civ IV BtS. Since I've been a Strategy & Tips forum assiduous reader for 2 years and because of that, I've improving my game play, I think it's high time for me to take part more actively in the Civ community (and hopefully to share my own experiences with you all). And, what a WONDER-ful (i just couldn't resist, sorry) to be a Civ'er!

I've played the civ series since I played Alpha Centauri (God, I'm a dinosaur), and despite my love of sci fi I've found the historical series great. Especially with the mods on this site. If only there were an alpha centauri mod. . .
