Yes, which they actually did use on you that last night. If you'd killed Al, it still would have been lynch or lose today, because Renata would have had the Blade. Oh, one other note: If scum had the Blade, they would not have gained full control over the kill, they would kill a random...

MNOTW XVII: The Cursed Blade (Game Thread)

My favorite part of this game as it played out, which probably added to the scum's feeling of being underpowered, was that they chose to scan the same people Snerk killed the first two nights, so Al started getting a little paranoid that their scan actually killed.

I'm sorry you feel that way, Lohrenswald. The set-up: One bloodthirsty vig based on item One one-shot town thief (Cuthillius). His steal, if used, was the first thing that happened. A failed theft revealed the thief to their target. This was a probably unnecessary (given the scum's weakness)...

Morning Day 4 That night, Snerk walked back to his house, whistling. He'd just chopped the historian, Arakhor into small bits, and he was sure that the attempted thieves must be all but eliminated. He was really growing into the role of protector of the Nether Blade, wasn't he!He carefully...

Evening Day 3 The painter had begun to talk of killing people, or at least trying to do so, and perhaps as a result, there was a fairly clear consensus. Lohrenswald had to fade into oblivion. He struggled in the arms of his accusers, flailing out with his hands, put eventually they subdued...

MNOTW XVII: The Cursed Blade (Game Thread)

Morning Day 3 When dawn broke the next morning, it at first appeared that everyone was present. It was only after the sun was well in the sky that they realized that the farmer hadn't come into town that morning. The remaining villagers went out there and found the farmer decapitated. He had...

Evening Day 2 With another of there own dead, there could be no question of mercy. While many were accused, suspicion eventually coalesced around the child, Cuthillius. With half the town agreed, Cuthillius was allowed to set his affairs in order and fade away to a shade of his former self...

I'll fight for it here. I was just thinking that nothing short of a Backwards Logic or pizzaguy epic game could really resurrect this forum.

MNOTW XVII: The Cursed Blade (Game Thread)

Morning, Day 2 Dawn breaks brightly. Well, brightly for a day in the land of the Sidar, i.e. a slightly brighter shade of gray. Everyone feels cheerier this morning, optimistic that the events of yesterday were just a misunderstanding, and surely the Nether Blade will be found under a...

MNOTW XVII: The Cursed Blade (Game Thread)

Evening 1 After an initial shock, the Sidar sank back into their usual apathy, shifting from the consistent excitement of Bluff Week to the more volatile murder and theft investigation. Several accusations were thrown out, but with no consensus, they chose to call it a night without killing...
