Well I've just finished my first post-patch game and was able keep the Inca as an ally for literally the entire game just by trading luxury resources fairly consistently and renewing DoFs the turn they expired. I guess the fact that we were both at war with Oda for quite some time helped as well.

Did the courthouse go away too or did your happiness just drop?

I really want some more African civs, like Ethiopia and the Zulu. I've also been thinking Simon Bolivar of Gran Columbia for some Post-Colombian Latin American representation.

I'd say the Spain+Inca pack is probably better, unless you really like going for military victories in which case I'd say go for Denmark.
