I have a question. On some of the animations they seem to flip from one to another when I fortify a unit or when its on sentry. Like paddle wheeled steamships revert to ironclads. Is this something I can fix?
Another example is germanPZ IVs revert to the original tank artwork when fortified.
What I dont notice is any big change from Republic to Democracy.
I have found if you fight several decent size wars its easier to manage things under republic the Democracy.
Any one have any thoughts on this?
I find you still need to expand in order to be in a position to have the best opportunity to get the much needed resources your military requires.
Im fairly new but I dont see what all the fuss about corruption is if your trying to conquest the world. ust build a steady stream of fast units...
The day Civ one hit the shelfs I started playing it.
The most annoying thing back then was when an AI unit would camp and fortify right next to your cities and the only way to remove them back then was declare war.
Before Civ II used to play this world Domination game called "Empire"...
The only real data i have is I once saved a GL for a modern wonder and I never got anymore leaders either from battle or tech and I had the tech lead until I went fascist in the 1900s.
maybe it was just bad luck but ive always assumed you can only have one leader period. if thats a wrong...
You can only have one GL at a time. The main reason I always rush a wonder the moment I get one when I hit philosophy/lit the same turn knowing I may have another shot when I get to mathematics. the last thing i want to happen is miss out on a leader I may have gotten.
This time it worked out.
Maybe its because when you get philosophy you typically go for another hard to get one like Lit giving it a "double shot" making it seem more frequent.
I once just kept reloading a game just before getting phil/lit and aduring 25 tries had 2 Gls pop up. This was using a scientific civ.
Its 5% chance to get one right?
So two back to back 5% chances being obtained.
Whats the probability of that happening?
Maybe I should have played the lottery yesterday.
Btw does anyone know if the AI gets the leaders and if so does it build wonders or use the science boost?
I find the persian UU to have the most impact overall.
Combine the UU inits with the Statue of Zues calvary and your pretty much going to destroy anything in the early building and land grab segment of the game.
I rather enjoy it when the AI does a few things that are unpredictable.
I mean really if you micromanage this game enough and know the ins and outs the AI doesnt have much of a chance why make everything predictable?
Learned Philosophy and grabbed Literature got a great leader. Rushed the Great Library.
Learned Mathematics several turns later and got a second great leader rushing the Statue of Zues.
I was so happy and stood up and spun around
Playing on a huge map with continents and 12 civs...
