Hmmm.... Interesting. Thanks. Does anyone know percentage probabilities or atleast an approximation?
And I've thought of a few things that might affect it too. Do you know if they do? (Hadn't thought of gov't)
- Distance of city from capital (for sabotage and stuff)
- Presence of an...
Does anyone know the actual probability of different espionage missions succeeding? Actually, the probabilities for succeeding as well as the probabilities for not being caught. I'm always afraid to try missions during peace-time because I don't really know how much of a chance I stand.

Quebec cleverly uses the separation thing to suck money into the province (hey why not play the card if you have it.)
They also turn down lots of money over separation. Many times they've refused millions of dollars from the federal government. For example, a few years back tthe provincial...
Hmmmmm..... interesting idea. It would have to be fixed so that only the units that could realistically do that would be available for this or atleast have more of a chance. For example, a tank would have a very low chance of being rescued since once the boat has sunk, the tank goes right down...
Well, you could always use a calculator :p
Nah but seriously I don't know about one but that would be pretty cool, since it could factor in stuff like culture doubling at 1000 year mark for each building and also check the other civs to make sure you have double what they've got, otherwise it...
I don't really think a "close canal" option would work since it would be nice to let some civs through but not others. Well I mean it would work, but then canals wouldn't be quite as valuable. For example, if you've got the continent that's between two warring civs and a canal on your continent...
This is basically barracks away from home, except maybe it can get to elite...
My thoughts: It should be alot more difficult to advance with these than in real combat, and leaders should be impossible to get from the training camp. I'm wondering about how this would work, though... It can't...
I had this idea yesterday and I'm gonna suggest it to Firaxis for their next patch (though that might be quite a while away now....) I'm posting it here first to see what you guys think and in case you have any suggestions to add to or modify the concept to make it even better. Here goes...
Montezuma, I'm not sure, but I think what Dustin means is that he added some more barbarian civs, but did not add tribe names to them. For example, he added something like pirate barbarians who are more naval than normal barabarian tribes, but didn't name the different tribes of pirates...

I didn't know that land units could use the submarine ability to be undetected. Now I took a look in the editor and saw that it is possible. My question is: Is there any way to give an item the submarine ability, which it may only use on a specific sort of terrain?
Here's why:
I was...
Thanks you guys.
I did what you said and took a look at Montezuma's instructions in the post that Ed O'War's link leads to. Turns out there was a lot of stuff I didn't know I was supposed to change, but now I've done it and the scenario works.
I made the coureur des bois an improved...
I was just wondering what you plan to do with colonies of the main powers in your scenario. At first I was thinking you could just put a map of Europe and Northern Africa in, but to include Japan, America and Russia you'll need the entire northern hemisphere, so at that point you might as well...
This is the first time I've tried anything like this and so I can't find what I've done wrong.
I used Civ3CopyTool to add an extra civ to a bic file (not civ3mod). I copied the Persians and loaded the scenario in Civ3Edit. In the civilizations rules section, it had all the normal civs plus a...
