I can't guarantee any of these things, but the map was standard size, and when I went into the world builder, deleted the warrens, I then got [display] counter incrementing with every unit.
Someone should peek under the hood.
Major:
Warrens+ Ragnorak: One unit gets prophecy mark, but Armageddon counter does not increment.
Minor: (Possible balance issues)
Warrens: Second unit does not get default promotions (including prophecy mark, above).
Warrens: Second unit does not get auto route.
Game Crushing bug:
Warrens + Ragnorak = no incrementation of the Armageddon counter.
Also (perhaps unintentional) Warrens do not add promotion to second unit built.
Also (likely unintentional) Warrens do not add delivery route to second unit built.
Blight is awesome. In no way does it ruin the game, it provides severe incentive to combat the AC early, and is sufficiently strong to bring out the flavor of a 'world-changing event'.
I am truly impressed with how effectively it is tuned to length and damage. I would additionally however...
I reckon this may have been done, but it seems that dwarven works should be able to enter and mine mountains for perhaps 3 hammers.
Alternatively or additionally, it seems that dwarven workers should be able to 'make mushroom caves' for two food.
Much of the early development discussions cited that orcs were supposed to be 'at home' in the jungle much as elfs are 'at home' in the forest. This never rally materialized, very likely for balance reasons.
I would suggest the very simple addition that Orc should be able to 'farm' or 'hunt'...
While in general, I agree with the idea, I have found the nice thing about FFH is that the civilizations are not balanced. In this context I will make the suggestion that not every civilization needs its own resource. In particular the ones that really need it (for flavor alone) would be...
While I agree with the less polish than other civs, the Illians were playable a few patches ago, meaning at one point they *were* ready to go in whatever state of incompleteness.
This thread really needs a grep.
Anyhows, apparently I cannot select the Illians to play anymore.
Also, Lucian does not appear on quick start for the other flavor of frostbarb.
It seems to me the best way to truly effect a sprawling city is to have all of the settlements convey extra resources (food, hammers and gold) to the nearest hub.
An observation (but not a criticism)
The change in agriculture would seem to have the unintended effect of encouraging the Leaves religion because the +1 food (in addition to +1 hammer) appears to be an attractive method to make up the balance.
