Hi Oops, 1) the only reason why you would need to build outside your boarders is to connect it to a city-state (a road request by them). after you complete the road you can easily tell your worker to bury the road. 2) no, you need to have your boarder on the resource in order to obtain it.

To me, this sounds like it is making Civ5 "less fun" and "more work" then it has to be. Happiness is a chores which although is needed, it literally breaks the game if you ICS or sweep civs. For someone who regularly plays on Emperor for a challenge, the AI now gets even more of a leg up...

I usually bee line to calendar to get stonehendge then then proceed with the basic tree then start focusing on the bottom tree. what holds me up is what to do after steel because i skip all the other prereqs to gunpowder.

Team, When building a national item (National Epic) where a requirement is a building needed in every city (monument, university) is HALTED when you raze a newly acquired city. This is due to the annoying popup build que for a razed city. also cant take screen shots on windows 7:(
