I changed civilizationIV.ini but it still crashes. I have attached a screenshot of the error. thanks for the help.

Same problem with resolution here. If I forget to change the resolution before leaving the game; the game will not load when set to 1680x1050; I get an error with dirkw32.dll. What setting do I change in civilizationIV.ini ?
