i don't build them that often, but when i do build them i use them either for putting guys down in new cities, putting guys down behind enemy lines (when the war's right along my border), and for recon.

what era are you playing in? if it's in the 1880's, then it's very likely that the french made peace with the spanish, and that they are upset at you for attacking shipping in general. i've never had them fire on me, but i've had my own governor complain about me attacking neutral shipping...

That's a tough one, but I'd say either Libraries or Temples. That's because you can have them for almost the entire game, and they give you good bonuses right away. A marketplace is good, but I generally find that I need all the science I can get towards the end of the game.

What's so great about republic? I never have a republic!!! If I'm going to war, than I go with either Facism or Communism, but when I'm at peace I stick with Democracy. A Republic doesn't have as low of corruption & waste as Democracy, and still has war weariness. Also, Republic has 100%...

Hi, I have a Radeon 9200 with 128 MB and a 512 MB RAM. I've heard that Civ IV has trouble running on a system such as mine. Is that true? Also, even if it does run, is Civ4 worth purchasing? (I've read that there are a lot of bugs, or have all of those been fixed?)
