Option 3 is the way to go. There is still plenty of turns left to play (most of the time) and 100 SPT is a good chunk of science increase over your base science (I doubt it will be higher than 500 SPT on turn 200).
What about just nerfing era scaling? Changing base faith gain from kills up to +5 will provide much more faith in earlier eras, when units are much cheaper.
It could still keep +3 base faith gain, but nerf era scaling from +3 to +1

You are comparing regular ranged attack with a killing blow. Your units do not get XP with every attack, only when enemy is killed. I can lower it to 2XP.

I have combined this proposal with 5-78.
Currently it is very possible to found with 175% God of War.
Also given adjancency bonus is only 1 tile, usually only 2-3 additional units will get bonus XP. And of course we can always lower it.
2XP will be peanuts.
