Looks like the problem was related to the installation and not the mod.

That worked for some reason. I didn't go through deleting the folders the last time I reinstalled, but there was only a folder in "...\documents and settings\<username>\my documents\my games\beyond the sword" I guess that was it though. Thanks for the help Ori!

I'm not sure if it makes a difference, but I got one of the faulty BtS discs and so when I install I copy the files from the disc to the desktop and run setup.exe from the folder with the files in it on the desktop. I can't see how that would make a difference though.
