I did this tweak and it works definitely on my Pc system. However i got a CTD after 10 or so turns and before that a couple of warnings in the shape of short "screen stutter/blackouts" !?!?

Reading this i wonder if i should leave 1.09 be. Didnt take 1.08 since it was sort of cancelled by QA. I'm having the same shortcomings as al others but still playable at medium graphics and medium mapsize (i have 6600GT, 1 MB RAM, P4 3,2 MHz). Should 1.09 be ignored ? Any advice much appreciated.

ok i have the same problems as many others: Game slow down rather quickly. Very quickly and annoying on huge maps. Did some correction in display/Graphical settings based on advices here but i doesnt realy move things. A patch is what is needed i guess.
