I one of these people that just wont settle for anything other than christian religion, however theres several problems with trying to maintain a civilization that adheres to only this religion...

i had something like 8 stealth bombers (all asleep/fortified) in one of my border cities, went to war and needed them, it worked out that i had to double click my city...
i dont know it just seems compared to other versions IV tends to place most civs really close to each other, have to look into that worldbuilder and sort it out :)
i think the truth of the matter is that i played civIII for so long as it had the hotseat function and the fact that my uncles computer cant run civ IV meant that i was drawn to continue playing that version of civilization...
hence why i felt it was better, i suppose... but i must admit now...

in civilization III i use to press "shift + U" whilst i had say a spearman active and it would produce a dialog box asking if i wanted to upgrade all spearmen, can i do this in IV ? and what is the keys required ?
is it me or does civ IV seem to waste loads of map space by placing everyones starting locations too close to each other.
for example i made a custom scenario using the "earth2" map with only three players
America, England, Germany...
i choose the earth map because i know its a fairly...
Well my points of view on IV have changed a little after yesterdays monster gaming session, i still maintain certain aspects of the game itself are just plain annoying...
religon & Corporations just plain wind me up, but this said i have noticed a goverment civic that stops it being so much...
im playing on whatever the default diffuculty is, cant remember what it is...
so is they a way i can open up a copy of the world map in a civ IV editor and change everyones starting locations to match reallife then play that map ?
I wasnt really complaining in all honestly i was trying to display how dissapointed i was with the latest installment of civilization, however they are points i do like about IV for example the globe view is just an amazing addition and looks amazing even down to the way you can post signs and...
as i mentioned earlier that ive havent played IV since pretty much launch date but last night i fancied a change so i re-installed IV and was dissapointed beyond the sword LMAO
but i never installed warlords and BTS so im a open minded person and it would be stupid for me to come onto a civ 4...
i was referring to the changes themselfs wolf fella for example there are changes in all civilization games, it just the ones in IV seem to be less towards my style of play...
