CN tower removing 33% culture bonus

Ok, save attached now. In the example game, Fes is about to build the tower. Most cities after this will show the 33% bonus if mousing over the culture section in the city screen. However, Marrakech and Tangier won't show it. Further, actually doing the math on the culture shows it is...

CN tower removing 33% culture bonus

Not sure if this was already reported, but I couldn't find anything similar on a search of the forums. Building the CN tower is removing the 33% culture bonus for the broadcast tower in some cities. I've not been able to identify what's causing it - some of the cities that aren't getting...

Choicing which nation you become after independence

I'd go for an Australian map - with the stronger tribes. Sort of a 'what if' scenario where the Aboriginal people were better able to resist British settlement. Of course, that's exactly what happened in New Zealand, where the Maoris gave the British a run for their money.

    Cannot build cities in Siberia

No, it's intentional. You can't build on tundra in RFC.

    This Months PC Gamer Magazine...

So is it the UK or US version? And which month? I ask because we get the UK version (I think) out here in Australia, but I think we might be a month or two behind. Thanks!

    Modern Paratrooper v2.0

Great job! This is going to be great for an unit upgrade I want to add to my games. A 'special forces' unit that the WW2 era marines and paratroopers can become.

Can someone incorporate drugs into game?

You could just add a few extra tradable resources into the game, and tie their effects to certain civics and buildings. I'll leave the examples to others.

    I wins teh Afterworlds!?

Can't say I'm surprised. Afterworld is heavily modified from the basic game, so it'd be really easy to crash it by using WB. Mind you, it's cool it'd even let you build a city.

What in the name of St. Ephisiocratus...?

Some of those guys are psychos who'll declare war at the drop of a hat, like Monty and Shaka. But I think there's also a chance for AIs to dogpile in BTS. Basically, they like to kick a civ when it's down.

    Help!!

Most unit and building graphics downloads are just that; graphics. You'll need to edit a bunch of the xml files to add them in. Unfortunately, most of the time they're not a 'plug and play' sort of add-on.

Leader that you just want to punch right in the face...

Definitely Monty, Isabella and Shaka for me. I have a kill on sight policy against them in most games. Then again, there was one game where Monty ended up with my religion and was really polite and helpful the whole game. Wasn't even playing on random personalities either.

    Civ Revolutions = Civ V?

My gut instinct is no. It sounds like it's designed to appeal to a different audience - basically people who normally play action games and wouldn't like twice at a game like Civ IV because they'd see it as too complicated. CivRev is an attempt to bridge that gap.

    A different audience?

Can't judge it until we see it. And I don't think it'll be a problem if it is less complicated than Civ III or Civ IV. After all, isn't Civ a broad church? There's nothing wrong with having a hard core version like Civ IV for the serious player, and a lighter version for those new to the...

Should mounted units have flank attack bonus against all previous siege units?

Edit the unitinfo.xml file. Each mounted unit has a list of siege units it can flank attack as part of its entry.

We need a new Japanese Leader

Historically, Tokugawa is accurate. He really did completely isolate Japan from the rest of the world after becoming Shogun. Trouble is that in Civ this means Japan never gets out of the middle ages. Every game I've played that goes beyond the middle ages, I just see Japan as a snack to...
