    Rise and Rule for Civ3:Conquests

I don't know how many different beta versions there are of the 1.04, but in the pre-beta (your link earlier in this thread) the Great Galleas still do not rotate when attacking. Looks kind of silly when the ship fires its cannons in a different direction than where the enemy is :rolleyes...

    Non aggression Pacts

Why not just make it so, that the nation wanting/needing help has to first ask for it and not make the whole thing so bluntly automated...

Sid Meier's Civilization IV Info Center

To name one thing I'd really like to see in Civ IV, would be the possibility to work tiles further away from the city core. Of course it would have to be balanced by setting a limit for the number of tiles total that would be available for any one city (21?) and a tile maximum distanse. I...

    Rise and Rule for Civ3:Conquests

Dunno what the patch actually does, but if it doesn't touch the .biq then you can grab it, since 1.03beta only deliveres that + some text files (iirc). You're right, it isn't. But you can also change the worker speeds manually, 50 for slave, 100 for Workers/Serfs, 125 for Peasant, 150 for...

    Rise and Rule for Civ3:Conquests

You know, you could've saved yourself a lot of trouble and just downloaded the French patch from the official site, the same place where RaR is, here ;). Edit. Humm, late as usual...

    Rise and Rule for Civ3:Conquests

Actually, the Ship of the Line problem has been mentioned a couple of times in this thread. In post 1275 is told how to fix it.

    Rise and Rule for Civ3:Conquests

I see... does the same happen if I run my worker into an invisible AI unit in C3C? Shouldn't it just simply not be able to move to the square which my unit is occupying and give a message saying so like in PTW? And now that I think about it, the AI first attacked my ranger with a military...

    Rise and Rule for Civ3:Conquests

I came across a very interesting phenomenon when I modded the Troubadour unit from 1.03 to an invisible ranger with defence str. of 2, normal hitpoints and no attack str (also ignores movement cost on all land terrain). The interesting thing here was that the AI was able to attack this...

    Rise and Rule for Civ3:Conquests

Well, since the 1.02 full is a 116 meg executable and the 1.03 patch is only 1.17 MB, it's pretty obvious that it's not a standalone (comparing the names and sizes) - unless someone found an option in WinRAR to squeeze the files even tighter... So yes, you need to install 1.02 first. But I'm...

    Rise and Rule for Civ3:Conquests

And what a wonderful advantage it is - it's why I love playing with an IND civ the most . And I understand, of course, that the no-upkeep advantage is not supposed to last forever; my point was about the speed increase... Yes, this is something I might have overlooked in my haste. But I...

    Rise and Rule for Civ3:Conquests

And don't forget 50 for Slaves. Worker strength 0 is the same as 100, anyway, methinks... One thing about the Peasants, though. I've noticed that if you're an IND civ the serf -> peasant upgrade gives you nothing, instead you just get to pay the 1gpt upkeep. Serf is just as fast as a Peasant...
