How to go from here - Immortal Hannibal on Pangea

I guess I will never win an AP game, at least not with a stack of some 30 cavalry on the board. I tried an alternative approach, initially only planned to compare SIP vs 1SE and got caught in the 'only one more turn trap'. Religions fell differently this time, but my early commerce brought me...

How to go from here - Immortal Hannibal on Pangea

Gumbolt, thanks for the input. I will try the AP-approach and follow your suggestions closely. Seems the game play needs a lot of fine tuning... AP-buildings: I thought they are worth their hammers, but it doesn't seems so, as you pointed out. There are pros and cons, but perhaps getting...

How to go from here - Immortal Hannibal on Pangea

Hello Civ-Fanatics, I rolled a decent start with Hannibal, that I would like to share, paired with the asking for some advice on how to continue from here. This is the start: Currently I am at 50 A.D., not in a too bad shape I think, but I am lacking a plan on how to win this map...

IMMaw Suleiman : Alone In The Dark

Don't have the time to shadow this game but its awesome to read your write ups. Its great to see some of the all time top players still so active and reading high quality posts. Always something new to learn, for me as an immortal player that only can win with marble nearby ;) Good luck with...

    Immortal OCC (De G.)

Reagarding early wonders: In general, its nice to see a game discussed and played by really experienced players. Good luck with your approach.

The Immortal Isolation of Shaka Zulu

I am sorry for your injury, I hope you get better soon. Shows real enthusiasm to write a report at all... regarding your game, may I ask what tech path you went, perhaps you could provide a save past 1 AD? I tried it several times but if I manage CS around 50 BC I am lacking calender...

The Immortal Isolation of Shaka Zulu

Will give it a try although I think Shaka isn't the best leader for isolated starts. Good luck with your attempt.

Immortal Fun :: Joao of Portugal

Since there weren't many immortal maps posted lately I would like to share this one with interested Civ-IV-players. I already played it through and had more fun then hazzle with it. It has a nice start, a leader with good traits and probably many different approaches how to win it. It is...

    Help with Immortal Toku Pangea

unfortunately there isn't...he will get rifling in like ten turns from the save. I managed to take two of his core cities, but he attacked me near my capital with a huge SOD, whipping out like 15 rifles with CGII and III and drill II and III. I dont think I can reinforce my capital in time..Too...

    Help with Immortal Toku Pangea

Hi everybody, I played a random pangea game with Tokugawa. Since I found marble I thought drafting would be nice for a change. The tech pace of the game was rather slow, I took nationalism from Lib although I surely could have gone deeper in the tech tree. So I had some nice upgraded...

    The Immortal Pericles

Thank you very much for this, I miss the forum games, even good old Nobles Club seems to be on hold. About the map: I read the posts and saw the screenshots, so I played with map knowledge.

Immortal, Augustus: Axe Rush? Praetorian Rush?

It definitly does. Thanks for the very educational write up. Never thought that would be possible with this start. Too bad you don't seem to find the time that often anymore ;)
