to see the airship animations, you may have to setup under options to see AI turns.
i tried airships my first game of BtS and they are fairly useful for a few years before the bombers come out, but they are definitely a pain in the butt to use for sorties just like any other aircraft in the...
im running Vista32 Ultimate.
the game works fine, but i notice a lot of sounds problems (distortion and stutter), and general sluggishness. every other game i run works fine.
when i played Vanilla/Warlords on XP Pro with the same computer, no problems at all with most settings on high. in...
yea i have this problem to. vanilla and warlords run perfect on my system with high settings, but BTS runs fairly laggy on all lowest settings, and the audio sometimes is smooth and others crackly/distorted/mild stutters.
i do not get it...
having both Civ4 and M2TW on my shelf, i can say imo Civ4 looks TONS better on the Campaign map. you can also zoom out all the way and view the entire planet as a globe, rotate it, and put filters on it such as religion and territory. and to boot you can post notes and draw...
i was playing a epic game on the LAN the other day with my bro. we were playing as a team vs 2 AI on a continents map, we were on 1 continent and the AI on the other.
when we started rolling into the Industrial Age, i noticed some strange things. certain resources were no longer shared. when...
i have M2TW, and i have to say, Civ4 looks a ton better than M2TW on the Campaign map imo. the Total War skirmishes are completely different and the games really do not compare.
Civ4 is more of a boardgame feel... like in Risk, roll a d6 and add any bonuses or penalties and thats it for combat...
i think the scenarios are great. sometimes a epic game would take too much time, and a scenario is a nice change of pace. i especially look forward to a Civil War era scenario which i assume is in there.
one thing... can you play a scenario multiplayer? i tried the other day on the LAN to play...
umm...
are you trying to login to Gamespy via the games multiplayer menu?
or are you trying to use Gamespy Arcade?
Civilization 4 works fine over Gamespy... i still play Civ4 without Warlords online often, so if you can be as specific as possible, and post as many details as you can...
just wondering if anyone has this, and if it is worth having at all?
seen it in Bradygames website for $10 as a .pdf download. it is not available at Amazon, although the vanilla Civ4 guide is (and it gets mostly 2/5 reviews...).
me, i do not personally need it, i can get most my info from...
actually, you have to register your account with the game...
i went to the sign up button in the game interface, and entered the details of a account i use with all my gamespy games, and then sign into the multiplayer lobby with it.
yea i dont think there is any certain way to tackle a scenario, which is part of what is so brilliant about them. just determine the victory conditions and move towards them. you might find it easier to go in and play 10 rounds and then start over to get an idea of whats going on.
select multiplayer, and LAN games. there should be a lobby, setup a game on one computer and see if it shows up in the lobby of the other computer.
if you cannot get that far, be sure to disable antivirus and firewalls.
i would like to see some advanced setup features for online play...
namely, like global options for whoever sets up the map. my system runs Civ4 perfectly and the highest settings, but i joined a game the other day and other players were *****ing because i didnt have certain settings. they...
