Hey all. I'm wanting to play a completely random game (random leaders + traits, etc) and I also want to be able to disable Unique buildings and units, but I can't see such an option...is it not possible? Thanks.

Assuming the map options are the options you get saying "Terra" "Pangea" etc, the Advanced ones are found when you click on "Custom Game" under the Single Player menu :) I think thats what you mean anyway

I get this with some games, like Rome Total War and Pirates!, but its never happened with Civ III - I usually am able to play after restarting the computer...thats if me and you have the same error. Do you just get a message floating about on the monitor which says 'Sych Out of Range' or...

I think that in Civ4, they should change the 'English' civ, to the 'British'. Nowadays, there is no such thing as 'The English Army' though there are English regiments, along with Scottish, Welsh, e.t.c. I know this might be critisized because there was no 'Britain' in 1300 AD, for example...

I know this is kind of an obvious post, but i think that Civ 3 has an appaling lack of city names, and all civs should have alot more, even if they're just little villages in real life. Since i play as England most often, its not so bad, because when Civ runs out of names, i just get a road...

I say, to hell with the cheats. If Civ 4 has a map maker like Civ 3, theres absolutely no need for them at all. I think an accelerated startup option is the closest thing to cheats the game should ever need

Not a bad idea. I'd certainly be more scared of a Tank, or Gun, than a bloke carrying a little spear Then Dauntless gets stabbed in the back :cry:

The main reason i thought of numerous unique units is that i feel that the developers were biased by making the american F-15 a unique unit that can't be made obsolete. I'm running XP, and I can get C3, PTW, and C3C to work perfectly. (A little slow when theres lotsa units, but thats probsy normal) Will the problem be fixed if somebody gave him a copied file that he is missing? If not, Patching seems to be the only thing i could think of
