More Lenses - Now compatible with Gathering Storm

It would be great if there were a lens that highlighted strategic resources. Finding oil, or aluminum, on a map with dozens of units and other resource icons, is not easy. It would be even better if the UI that toggles resource icons was expanded to toggle strategic, luxury, bonus separately.

Anno Domini (Civ 6 version) available now! [Deleted]

The Civics tree, seems like there might be something wrong. All the civics are same as Vanilla civ. Is this how it's supposed to be?

RB3 - Daring Deity with Ottomans

OT: I've seen a 'clean' screenshot or two where the UI and city name signs were hidden - anyone know how to do that?

Roman Rifle Rush: Diety Walkthrough (w/ speech bubbles!)

Thank you, that was one of the most enjoyable CivX walkthroughs I've ever read. Screenshots could often benefit from markups like you employ, and the ample humor was the icing on the cake. The AI is what it is. The DLL will be released, the modders will mod, the AI will improve. I suspect the...

How do you cover your continent with cities?

Re the 'no whales' map - it was on a standard continents map.

How do you cover your continent with cities?

Don't make any plan dependent on eventually acquiring all 15 luxury resources. In my current game there are NO whales. I got satellites, which now reveal the map after the 62 patch, and very carefully searched every coastline. None. Before satellites, I assumed there was some island in the...

    Thoughts on REX+ICS

I don't do pure REX in the ancient and classical eras. I try to have 10 cities by 0 through settling and war. I think it's important to eliminate your immediate neighbors very quickly. I produce a scout, settler, warrior, then set the second city to producing settlers. I don't build monuments...

    Thoughts on REX+ICS

Thanks to Alpaca and Paeanblack's detailed write-ups I played a King ICS game as Germany (hey, random leaders is a long-standing tradition with me). What a blast compared to the previous games I'd played - unbelievable science, gold, and land control. I'm closing in on 1700 with modern armor...

    Unit Map

Thank you, I've been looking for this.

What is the story with Railroads?

Definitely - in order to get the harbor railroad bonus, you must connect one city overland to your capital with railroads. As soon as it's connected, instant bonuses the next turn for all your harbor cities. If your capital is not coastal/harbored itself, I am not 100% certain that you can...

How to deal with much more advanced AI

I agree the AI doesn't navigate the oceans often, but it is definitely capable. In a Monty game recently, I had already mopped up my continent. I wardecced England, who was largely on her own continent (it was a rare three-continent Continents map). No lie, she sent 4 ships o' the line...

    The Fallacy of Domination Victory

The other day I played a game as Japan, going for domination natch. I had everybody down but Songhai, I'd taken Paris but he had cities remaining, and had chosen to liberate Hiawatha's capital to avoid the unhappiness, figuring I'd park it and deal with it later. Suddenly the victory screen...

Axxon's Guide to All You Want To Know About REF, Rebel Sentiment and Revolution

Also very curious about how the unit is picked - what drives addition of ships to the REF? EDIT: Which you already answered - thanks.

    Get a book

Your F1 screen can come in handy here if you're not the bookish type. You can see production, trade routes, etc.

Any way to see what goods natives need?

You must visit the chief to get the process started. After that, the best way I've found to get the info is to hit F11 to get the top-level map view, then choose "Native trade requests" (something like that) from the bottom right corner. Then, ALT+R if you need it to toggle the icons, and...
