Just grabbed 3.17.001, and I'm having asset issues. I either get "CRCs missing" error in settings page, or "assets are different from standard install" error. It seems to be random which error shows up. I've attached 3 different asset checker results. 1. After installing HOF-3.17.001...

I successfully downloaded the patch from within the game, only to find out that, since I installed from FilePlanet (D2D), I needed a different patch. Word in the multiplayer lobby is the patch is broken and is being recalled.

I'm not entirely sure the file I downloaded was the 1.08 patch. That seems irrelevant now, as I've heard that the patch is broken. Apparently no one can join multiplayer games. Not sure what's going on, I'm going to wait until tomorrow until this is all sorted out.

Wish I could comment, but since the patch won't install, I can't. Grrrr....

Anyone else having this problem? I purchased and downloaded Civ 4 from FilePlanet and used the CD-less installation. I've downloaded Patch 1.08 but it won't install, stating that it can't find an installed copy of Civilization 4. Edit: OK, since the patch is on hold, this thread is now...
