Can't download the patch

I click on check for updates and it keeps telling me that there are no upgrades available at this time. WTH??

I tried creating a multiplayer account as well since I couldn't dl the patch thru the advanced menu, and I couldn't get into the multiplayer thing either.

I successfully downloaded the patch from within the game, only to find out that, since I installed from FilePlanet (D2D), I needed a different patch. Word in the multiplayer lobby is the patch is broken and is being recalled.

so, in other words, there is a patch, but we can't download it yet... I guess we'll have to wait for tomorrow!

Yes it has been confirmed actually. By the MOD and also by me after just getting off the phone. see:

Anyways I was able to log in again to the lobby after creating a whole new username and password, but shortly get booted out. So I think they are trying to keep people from getting that patch automatically or something because it's messed up.
