Game needs rebalancing. Faith is best food and production is best science.

Not to forget: units. I stopped civ 6, because I was bored conquering civs with either only outdated or no units. Having the AI spawn units from nothing is not nice, but where is the fun when there is no opposition? With humankind at least I have a good story to tell after having played a game.

October patch progress update (release: originally October 28, now 1 week delay)

No info on stadia update :-/ It's so ridiculous that you need to spend 1000 on hardware to play a game that costs 50. While at the same time one spends 50 per month for fast internet connection anyway!

    Fighting a vassal

Again, really strange situation. A culture was fighting me + someone else. I took their only city and next turn they became vassal to the other culture and the city was theirs again. How can another player give back a city, that I have occupied?? Also, I attacked it again, strangely just taking...

    Worst culture for any era.

Good / Bad, let's call it easy / challenging instead ;-)

Life as a vassal may be not so bad (too good, even?)

Thanks for the explanation! I'll try and go onwards next time and see if I can make it back to the top. It's true that wars aren't as devastating as in Civilization and depending on war score one may not lose that much.

Life as a vassal may be not so bad (too good, even?)

Interesting, usually I quit a game when I lose a war as it usually means there's no chance of winning. I've never really let it come to that actually. Can you tell more about restrictions from being a vassal? Is gold really the only thing? Can you build units? How do you free yourself from that...

Amplitude shows Humankind development art works

The artworks are really really good. I like them very much. The tech tree in Civ6 looks like a spreadsheet compared to the technology screen in Humankind. I really really like the artworks next to the techs that you have researched or are researching. Also the music is extremely good. I would...

What cultures would you like to get added the most?

Isn't "none" an option? I fully agree that there needs to be some balance first. Or maybe prerequisites for choosing a certain culture (and a possibility to select random and thus bypass the prereq). Like Egyptians you need to have your city on a river. Etc Not sure if that would be fun, but...

    Glossary, anyone?

Thank you, I understand that this is a common, potentially global, term used in many companies. Thank you, I think that explains what you meant! Please, the implied divorce from day to day realities seems a bit harsh in your conclusions. I am working in academia and in a German speaking...

Well I graduated as computer scientist, even holding a PhD, don't know if that counts as "computer people" :shifty:

The critique of Humankind's basic economic and city building system: the root of balance issues

As someone mentioned pollution, I also think it should be more gradual, but also think that eg the existing trees should be taken into account, not just newly planted forests. (As a sidenote it is extremely simplistic to consider forest as the only and ultimate counter to pollution). Pollution...
