The Spartans. They seem to have the best chance of actually surviving on Planet, and also seem to be fairly liberal (as in, having liberty, not the political stance. Even if everyone says Santiago is far right.) Sure they're warlike, but we're not conquering, we're liberating! ;)

I always assumed southern Baptist. I'm pretty sure she's not Catholic because as Elgado said there's not any mention of popes or saints or cardinals or any other conventions of the Catholic church. She's probably actually a blend of radical Christian views to make her faction more obviously...
