Hi,
(GS version)
What's the range for re-basing air units? What are the exact changes between the base game and this mod when it comes to that? I built some air units that I can't use because I can't take them to the border cities. The range for re-basing them seems to not only be very short...
If you lose ANY units to wild animals you are not getting the basics of combat. You should always win to deers and bears, and with 2 tribe units you should also beat mammoths every time.
Are you checking the combat modifiers? Are you using the terrain to your advantage? How are you playing combat?
In the official forum everyone is just playing on Hamlet to win in less than 20 turns, since this one is about winning as fast as possible. I got a 26 turn win on HK difficulty but I can't compete with people playing on Hamlet.
I already mentioned it in the official forum, but you should have fixed the difficulty setting. It makes no sense to create a "competition" in which people can play at different difficulty levels.
The game has improved a lot, but unless you start with the peaceful mode turned on (which completely stops the AI from ever declaring a war) it's still very much a war game. Aggressive strategies will always be better, because of how the game was designed.
Hi everyone,
I'm doing a video series on the history of the Civilization games, focusing each video on one specific part of the game.
In this one I talked about leaders, and the criteria the game has for picking CIV leaders. I'm leaving it here for anyone who might be interested:
There are several ways to do the one city challenge, but I'm pretty sure diplomatic victory is the easiest one. I did a video-guide on how to achieve it with Norway on an archipelago map (deity difficulty):
I had a lot of with apocalypse mode + zombies. If you remove one civ from the recommendation for your map size, you get more free room, which means more barbs, which means even more zombies. Don´t add heroes or anything that could help against the zombies. By mid-late game several AIs will have...
Hey everyone,
After seeing many players complain (especially on reddit) that barbarians are too strong, I decided to make a video "overexplaining" how to handle them:
After this, I thought that I would also come here to ask people what are some mechanics that annoy them or ruin the fun for...
