I think I might have 2.7 ROM - the link said 2.71 but the zip file says 2.7 so....ilk download that and give it a go, many thanks!

OK! I installed Civ 4, then BTS, then updated to BTS 1.19 then copied ROM 2.7 to the mods folder, selected the mod in the game, went to single player, custom game, made sure everything was set to ancient and unticked advanced start...then the game begins and Ive got infantry and access to...

Ive formatted the whole pc already - is this something anyone has experienced at all? Im sure ive followed the right links, but what version of ROM do i need for 1.19? Thanks for your help!

hello! Ive just installed the mod, running BTS 1.19 - when I start a game, even though everything I can find is set to ancient, I seem to have an advanced start with infantry and the ability to build coal plants etc. I know this cant be right, and I've searched to the best of my (limited)...

Thanks, I might try the individual unit per city thing - all defenders in one, all attackers in another etc. Is it me or was late game military better in Civ 2?

Hello, I'm now playing on Prince - played Civ 2, 3 and 4 vanilla and I loved them all (couldn't go back to 2 and 3 now though) and the "just above midway" difficulty level seems to be my limit, and I'm generally happy with that. It's a challenge on Prince, I only win about 1 in every 4 games...

AI used armies against me in civ 3...

If you build everything in every city then you're not playing on a hard enough level. My advice would be to step up a couple of levels and then see if you can build everything.

You can hold alt when upgrading a unit to upgrade every unit of the same type :king:
