If I move my palace won't the corruption on the main(original) continent skyrocket?

I tried this only in the city with the military academy. There is no icon to build army like with a leader. I still have an army. Is it not possible to have multiple armies?? Can we ever have more than 1 army? Can we have more than 1 leader??

I have 5 units in a city plus my leader. When I click make army, the leader gets a flag on his icon. Now what?? The units I want to comprise the army are on the same square. Thanks.
