To the OP...each Civ is NOT required to buid the Manhattan Project before any other civ can build nukes. Only you are required to do so if you want to build nukes.

I just launched 3 ICBM's and 5 Atomic Bombs on Shoshone...he has (had) superior weaponry to me and a lot more of it. Hi, I often find myself in a bind when another Civ is asking me to DOW another Civ, or a CS is asking me to bully another CS. The problem is I have no idea what the diplomatic situation is for the Civs involved much the more important Globall Diplomacy status. Seems to me if one can be asked...

I do not understand why after so many years Sid has not simply added a hate meter for each CS an Civ. Then you can visually see how a particular Civ feels about your actions, maybe one Civ might be more sensitive than another...I don't personally believe the diplomatic system is that advanced...

Ok...this is incredibly annoying. I often zoom out to marvel at my growing empire or to simply get a clear picture of the world which I intend to conquer only to have space view of the world inundated with huge city titles that are totaly distracting and ridiculous from that perspective...

Somethign for another thread I guess, but the barbs 8 out of 10 games will make me the target of their rage and smile and hold hands with othe civs as they pass through the woods in broad daylight. Very frustrating, esp. when you are at war. Frdm

But those are all pretty good reasons to attempt a coupe. :) To me a coupe should be a last ditch effort anyway to turn the tides and some crucial point, and now that I understand from other posters how the coupe works, ti makes perfect sense and fits well into the game imho. Thatnks to all...
