so from what im understanding then, (i've never gotten into the bits and pieces of how the fiels work) its the rules.txt that controls what and when the units will come into play during a game? Not just the units.gif or units.bmp files? If I need one of those where can i get those originals? Cuz...

happen to know where id be able to get the rules.txt file from? or would i have to re-install off the cd saving the files i want saved such as scn files, map files and that sort of stuff?

How can you fix it after you played a scenario, when you go to start new game and one of the units you come across....in 3300 BC is a howitzer? How do you go back to the original units, or is there a good set of units to download that would be in order of when theyd be discovered....I know which...
