Since ve actually started to play Civ6 maybe it's time for a return to the community as well. I'll have to think about it . I don't recognise the site logo, but your avatar is the same.
Thank you. It turns out that I had made some misstake when correcting a bug in the saving of vanilla Civ3 files, that broke the saving of C3C files. I release 1.12.8 which fixes this problem.
The size difference is merely due to the files being saved without compression, so that doesn't really give me any henit. Pleas attach the file before and after edit and I can look at it.
Can you please provide the original save you tried to edit as well as the modified file that resulted in the error. Also specify what version of Civ3 you are trying to load the save with. (Expansion + patch level). Most likely the save game editor outputs i nformation that is intended for a...
If there exists a file logs.dat in the installed folder. Try to delete it and see if that makes it start again. (That's the only think I can think of that might go wrong on XP.) Other than that check the c3mt.log and s*.log files for any clues.
Here we go again. I've not updated the installer, only the small file.
1.12.7
- Fixed a crash when exporting scenario with cities that had zero culture
- Added the possibility to view and edit governor settings for all cities. (I've not tested if the AI resets the preferences every turn, or if...
I'm using Windows 7 myself, and it works for me sadly.
You could try to create a dword value HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Gramphos\C3MT\CheckForUpdates with value 0 and see if it gets any further, or if it still fails.
Do you get any session log file? On Windows XP, check the installation...
I'm not against people cheating in their own games, but single player save files are also used in for instance the GOTM here at CFC. Using C3MT to edit a save is not trace less, but using a hex editor could be. Of course there can be cheating by extracting information not available to the player...
The C3MT source code is not relased. The decoding of the Civ3 save file format is a joint effort performed by several utility creators. It has been shared with a few people having a good prospect of what they want to use it for. However we don't want the save file format open to the public, as I...
You shouldn't have any problem even if Civ 3 is installed on a non-standard path. I've done some testing on Windows 7 and know that C3MT works on it, but triggers a bunch of compatibility fetaures. (Virtual store for instance)
Just use the full installation program. I'll see if I can find an XP machine to try the latest version on, but as far as I know there shouln't be any problem with that. Did you install using the installation package or just unpacked the patch zip?
There will be a new version. I've already started adding a new feature. (Probably not that useful, but soon you will be able to change the city gouvernour settings from the save game editor.) But I want to investigate the bug report about civilizations being off by one when exporting scenarios...
I don't think I've seen a report of something like that before. Now that I have a working development environment again I might be able to fix some more bugs that are reported. Especially bugs which have clear how to reproduce instructions, preferable with an included save file that can be...
