It is the desert tiles in particular that are cause the most frustration, although tundra would be a close second. A map homogeniser type would be a cool addition.

More clumping. The map always winds up with too much mixed terrain (even Smart Map is guilty of this). Earth isn't like that. It has clumps of mountains, desert, forest etc.
