    Civ Discussion - Songhai

Haven't tried them yet but the river-focused playstyle looks good. In Civ 5 their UA was called River warlords but didn't have much to do with rivers by the way!

Having fun with the game again

Yea I accepted it that it is not realistic that this iteration would do a complete overhaul, and concentrated on the good stuff. It paid off! 🍻

Having fun with the game again

I finished a Rome game in Civ VI and was thinking about which strategy game campaign to try next. My pc doesnt run Civ 7 with full graphics so I decided to get the basic version for Xbox S series. I wanted to start a new game with open mind and enjoy the graphics on a big tv screen and have a...

How Would You Implement A Classic Mode?

Just an option to let player to keep their civ at the first and second age change. I would accept that

Official Civ7 plushies: Confucius and Benjamin Franklin

Yeah there was even a title screen found for it. I feel bad the game was scrapped, it might have been a really cool light strategy game with lego aesthetics and fun stuff.

    Leader Discussion - Isabella

My favorite Civ 7 leader along with Catherine, same flavor as Isabella in Civ 5. I like to explore and I like natural wonders, so it's like custom made for me.

What's your opinion on civ switching?

Quentin Tarantino described most of his films taking place in some sort of "Tarantino world", and in sort of same way I think of Civilization happening in their own game universe. So there is nothing weird about Gandhi waging war or Benjamin Franklin in antiquity. At least that how it works...

Official Civ7 plushies: Confucius and Benjamin Franklin

Those are good ideas. If I was choosing a toy lineup they could be: Scout with dog Machiavelli Gilgabro Jadwiga Gandhi!

Player stats, sales, and reception speculation thread

I wonder if it is unique for Civilization series that player count is divided between most of the titles of the series. Like are there lots of people who haven't moved on from Hearts of Iron 2 or Tekken 3, for example? I think that should be put into consideration when looking at Civilization...

Player stats, sales, and reception speculation thread

Sale(?) has helped Civ VII to be now at #14 on Steam's best selling games chart. Civ VI Anthology is also on the list at #60.

What's your opinion on civ switching?

Also you could form a rescue mission to release a captured worker from barbarians, or you could raid them from other civs. In Civ VI there are also social policies affecting workers etc.

Long Term Support For Civ 7

Firaxis/2K definately marketed Beyond Earth as an AAA game, like in the news before it's announcement: "On Saturday, you won’t want to miss Firaxis Games announce their next big AAA title, so get in line early for the Firaxis Games Mega Panel. The panel starts at 11:30 am at the DragonFly...

Civ VII Post-mortem: Crafting a redemption arc

Pedro P: I agree with your post. It also felt that civ players had civs as like sport teams to root for, and when someone said that their main civs are Rome and Persia or that they are going to do an Inca playthrough, people would get the idea what it is about. Now it would be something like...
