Exactly, my game went to unplayable 1-2fps after trading the world map on a huge world map.

Got the same problem. I'm playing on the biggest map size but I didn't have a problem untill I bought the world map and got to see the whole world. How much of the map is revealed shouldn't matter on performance as long as I don't zoom out so I'm thinking there's something wrong with the game...

No, I meant how does it relate to real life? But I guess they can justify it by increased communication expenses and paperwork or something like that.

Great read, I can't wait for the game to get released. The new combat system sounds awesome. I'm not sure what's the logic behind new cities bringing up the upkeep costs in the old ones but it fits my playstyle.

So, which nation and leader are you going to start your first game with? Simple question but the answers can be as complex as you want. :p I'm yet undecided but I think I'll go with someone who's at least industrious since I like building wonders. :D
