    Civ VII Developer Update - July 2025 | What's coming in tomorrow's 1.2.3 update!

The art for the new leaders looks especially good, very excited to see their 3D in-game models! These look like they might be my favorite looking civ 7 leaders so far

How many of you bought a copy of Civ 7?

I've bought the Founder's edition on release, I do kind of regret not just getting the basic version, because I feel like the DLC's aren't really worth the price tag. I've played it a bit in the first weeks of release, but quickly felt like I've seen everything the game had to offer. Not playing...

    My solution to civ switching.

I still think an optional "classic mode" could save civ 7

I'm clicking the "retire" button on Civ VII

V is great, especially with Vox Populi, it just had a really rocky launch and pre-expansion era.

Hopes/Focus Points of the Next Update?

With the june update being out now for a couple weeks, civ 7 is slowly but surely filling the notable gaps that were present on launch. One of the features about that update that makes me the most hopeful is the new "Dawn of Man" intro screen, I really hope they continue to overhaul the UI that...

Checking in from the dev team: June update is almost here!

Any idea as to when the update will drop today? My guess is 18:00 CEST, so exactly 8 hours from now

Checking in from the dev team: June update is almost here!

I love the new look of the loading menu, the previous one felt undercooked and rushed to me, also the difference in lighting of the leaders and backgrounds irked me, that has been fixed now with the darker backdrop. Love the way that all the bonuses are presented now too

    Steam Workshop vs CivMods

Civmods was a great replacement for the lack of a workshop, but once the workshop hits I'll be jumping over too. But a huge thanks to Leonardify for making civmods! I loved using it the past few months

    Sukritact

But what does that have to do with Sukritact? There are other threads for discussing player counts My guess is that full on leader mods with 3D models are not going to happen now that he is fully hired by Firaxis, but I think he'll definitely have a positive influence on the UI :)

Stardock takes over Ara management, and new roadmap for Ara

I love ARA for it's unique take on the 4x genre. I agree that these updates look very promising, here's hoping the updates will attract some more players

Any word on when the workshop will be added to Steam.

    CivMods is amazing, highly recommend!

My wish for civ VII: Advanced World Setup!

Thanks! I noticed that mod when it just came out. That mod actually inspired me to make this post :D

My wish for civ VII: Advanced World Setup!

One of the aspects I find civ VII lacking in most is the game setup screen. I'm the type of player that wants to control every detail in game setup and world generation to create very specific games, and I find the setup options in civ VII extremely lacking. Here's just a few options that I...
