In my last game I had built and conquered more cities than would apparently show on the religious advisor screen. Is there is a way to scroll the screen to show the status of all the cities? It's a real pain to have to pan all over the screen to see and keep track of the religious staus of...
Thanks, Zeeter! I'll give it a try.
I used to use the "S" command in Civ2 - I think their term for it was "Sleep" but it worked the same way. I never knew the Civ3 equivalent was "Y"! Boy, is that OBTUSE or what?
Don't know, Zeeter. Just another one of those "mysteries of life" in Civ3, I guess.
I've never used the "sentry" command. Is it now "Y"? What use is it? I may have to give it a try!
Keying "CTRL-SHIFT-G" will pop up the city list box and allow you to select a city to go to. Kind of kludgy but I guess Firaxis had too many other key codes already in use.
Ah yes, I had just finished nuking the HE** out of Germany before this happened. Maybe the fallout from the other continent swept over and affected the sanity of my mech infantry.
Hope Firaxis can fix this sometime soon!
Is this a bug or what?
I had a strange thing happen in my most recent game using the 1.21f patch. Unfortunately, I've since deleted the saved games so I can't post the file or a screen shot.
I was playing the Persians on Warlord level and had taken over the entire continent I started on...
I had a similar, but maybe unrelated, thing happen in my most recent game using the 1.21f patch. It was about 1950AD and I wanted to move one of my mech infantry units to the other side of my continent to load it into a transport. As it moved adjacent to one of my own cities along the way, it...
Good one Erix!:goodjob:
For all of you that complain about the slowness of the game, try playing on my nearly 6 year old Pentium Pro 200 with 32 MEGS of RAM. According to the game specs, I shouldn't even be able to load the game, yet I've been playing it now for over 2 months and enjoying...
Muppet -
Since I agree so strongly with your "whiner reply", does this officially make me a whiner?
I really do love the game but I do agree with many of the posters here that it could (and should) have been much better.
Point 1 - I know, I know (sigh), But I shouldn't have to do that. It doesn't make any sense, logically, that all units do not have airlift capability after airports are available. However, I realize that logic has not played a part in many of the "features" that Firaxis has designed into the...
I had never tried this before, but in my current game I control most of North America (playing warlord, americans, huge world map, 2005AD). At about 1980 I started a couple of new cities in the pacific rim to take advantage of some resources. These cities are, of course, fully corrupt and...
I'll throw this into the mix and ask if anyone else has experienced it. I found this to be the case in my current game (Warlord, huge world map, 1.17f patch but the game was started pre-1.17).
I had a stack of mixed units, including an army of knights, in a city some distance from my south...
YESssssss!!!!!!
I think I would play a Scottish Mod/Scenario almost exclusively. I've always taken great pride in my Scottish ancestry.
Based on personal preference and ancestry, I'd like to propose an addition to Calgacus' cities list -- Glencoe. While it may not be very big...
