    [R&F] Cree First Look

I love the art for Indian cities. That is an excellent touch.

    Germany Video

I am really shocked by the direction they took this Civ. Barbarossa is a Holy Roman Emperor, the imperial city district bonus comes from the HRE era, the bonus against city states come from the HRE era, and the Hanse is from the HRE era (I assume it's some variant of the hanseatic league?)...

    Gamespot coverage

I'm so excited to hear that you may actually have to go to war in this game, unlike CiV! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    No Gandhi in Civilization 6?

I hope he isn't the leader, for many of the reasons already outlined. Considering how this iteration of Civ already has shed many traditional leader picks, I am confident they'll pick someone other than Gandhi. (Personally hoping for Akbar or Ashoka but there are so many other great leaders to...

Will Civ6 punish players for expansion?

I think the district system works best with expansion, all else equal. With 12 districts per city, only a few locations per map will have sufficient resources to support more than a few cities with so many districts. I imagine that for most maps, most cities will be medium size and require lots...

What size should a TSL Giant Earth Map for Civ6 have?

Personally I hope islands stay small. Traditionally, islands served as bases of trade or places to re-service ships; they were not large metropolises on the scale of Mexico City, New York City, or London. Yet, island cities in CIV and CiV could be incredibly large due to fish resources and water...

Article: The Ahistorical Representation of Religion in Civilization

I really enjoyed the article. I especially liked the suggestion that religion should evolve in the game by changing in response to historical events, much as religion does in real life. I'm not sure how it would work in the game, but it certainly provides some thought provoking possibilities...

Haven't played in over a year. Should I play Civ 4 or 5?

They are really totally different. I have been playing all of them for years, and I got between depending on my mood. I would try Civ IV first, only because it feels strange to go a much older game after playing a new game with great graphics like civ V.

    Conquest Scenario Thoughts and Tales

I am happy to see people posting here again. I love Civ IV and V, but I always come back to III for the scenarios.

Buy "Civ: Beyond Earth" NOW or WAIT for Expansions / Fixes?

I've been playing Civ for years and have loved all the games. Usually, I wait until at least one expansion comes out. The one time I chose to buy one of the games when it first came out was Civ V and I could not stand the gameplay. I ended up liking it more with Gods and Kings, but it wasn't...

    Students using Civ4 in class

This sounds really interesting. I just got my initial teaching license and I have toyed with the idea of using civ in the classroom, but I have never seen it done well before. I am excited to read you and your students' comments about this project. To the few detractors, your comments indicate...

    Do you play the scenarios?

I play them sometimes. There are a few really great ones and a few not worth my time at all
