Exactly. Normally when I don't have a great army and my neighbours ask me to help them I will declare war but keep all my troops inside my border just to defend if they dedcide to attack me. I prever to stay on everyone's good side until i have a very big army. Then I start with the smaller civ's.

I get the same error. My Civ IV is installed on a Fat32 partition and my savegames are on a NTFS partition. Is the problem related to where Civ is installed or where the savegame is stored?:confused:

I got the patch from the CFC site and got the "CRC" error. Just pressed ignore and let it finish. My Black Terrain has been fixed. :D There are stil some minor problems with some of the animations. And its gets slow at the later stages post 1900AD. Movies does not work had to disabled it. :(...
