    Forced Coastal start point?

    I am very OCD with jigsawing my cities together so I hate inland starts. Is there a mod which forces coastal starts? I know I can use the world editor to move around, but then I get a peak at where everybody is at which ruins the surprise.

    You might try playing on epic or even marathon speed. That way you are many turns between techs, and your praetorians will be uber for lot longer.

    In Civ 4 and Warlords, I used a slightly modified CvMapGeneratorUtil python to reduce the ammount of desert. This does not seem to work in BTS. There is not CvMapGeneratorUtil in the python folder, and when I put my old civ 4 CvMapGeneratorUtil python in the BTS folder it screws the map up...
