I have enjoyed reading and rereading this thread over and over again. I have learned much and am putting a lot of the knowledge to the test in my second game of Beyond the Sword.
Plato90s also states in Modern Naval Strategy in Beyond the Sword, "Final point - the transports should hold...
Thanks AJ11. Everything people say on this discussion board really helps. Although I've played Civ4 this is only my second Civ4 Beyond the Sword game. I confess I didn't know subs can carry tactical nukes. I will try the spies and navy.
Boom Goes the (Nucular) Dynamite
I am 1,000 points behind, in second place in BTS, competing with first place AI China. China dominated the other continent accumulating 5 vassal states. Then China declared war on me. I have been able to defend myself nicely and have gained hundreds of...
What a novel idea, this sounds quite plausible. Thanks Ghpstage.
And thank you to everyone who took the time to answer, I learned much from reading all your replies.:)

I just added Beyond the Sword this Xmas and like the added complexity. But, of course, this adds to my question reserve. Thanks for taking the time to...

How do you stop a strike? I was doing fine then I found a new continent and started colonizing like crazy. I got to the point where my units were disbanding and it said strike, so I turned a couple of the bigger cities onto wealth and now I have extra money, but it still says strike. How do I...
