Thanks. I'm on turn 60 on a Standard map. It plays fine so far. I've got the graphics on medium and leader animations on high. I can't notice anything strange, except it's not letting me pan around the map using the cursor. I have to click on the mini-map. I'm pleased thus far.
I am ignorant of things related to graphic cards, I have a Core i3-2120, 8 gigs of RAM and an AMD Radeon HD 7700. Will this be a horrible experience? Slow I can handle, but not crippling.
I would also like to know. My rig meets the minimum, but not the recommended, so I assume I will be forced to play it on low-medium settings. Why no demo, why?!
In GnK there was a way of bribing a warmonger a certain sum (5gpt I think) and they would almost always leave you alone. Is that still the case in the up-to-date BNW? I've tried it on deity and they still attacked me :(
What's the consensus for how the latest patch changed things in single player? My standard 4 city tradition on deity now seems more challenging. I just can't expand like as quick as I used to.
Should I build my city next to a mountain on a river, or settle on the coast where I could use internal food trade roots via cargo ships with another coast city? The only reason the mountain/river looks good is for the observatory. Haven't played in over a year!
I'd like to know what the minimum for bribing bully AIs is. This is just so they don't DoW you.
I remember back in GnK days, it was something like 1-3 gpt which they would be happy with the rest of the game. As long as you paid them that and didn't get aggressive with them, they would not...
I haven't seen this in a while. Now when they offer me lop-sided RAs they are usually not ridiculously lop-sided. Even then, you can usually just make an even trade.
Perhaps it's because you are the one who would benefit most from the agreement due to having low beakers?
I think that Piety could at best be a complimentary tree, as you say. Though who among us playing on Emp or Deity would ever finish the entire tree once opened? Just not worth it. One or two policies past the opener, but that's it. Then Patronage and Rationalism are available.
Threads about this complaint are so common that it's no longer funny. I think its clear that Firaxis is not interested in making things balanced in the SP department. They gave a half-hearted try when BNW came out, but that's it.
Piety is so inferior that I wouldn't even attempt to...
Thanks dire and cromag. Though I do have problems with growth, I meant to say that my populations slows down after around 21 in my cap for some reason.
I will try to use food caravans and not run so many artist slots.
Also, if I'm not mistaken, this guide doesn't suggest building...
So, I'm playing a standard everything deity game, and Pacal just built PT without having to open Rationalism... :wallbash:
See:
Has anyone else seen this before? It looks like a bug.
It's particularly frustrating because I was holding off on building PT because I knew no other AI...
